Jean-Yves Charlier é o Presidente da empresa fabricante das soluções interactivas para a Educação, Promethean. No passado dia 8 de Julho 2009, esteve presente no evento promovido pela APDC, no Museu da Electricidade, onde proferiu um discurso voltado para o presente e para o futuro da Educação em Portugal e no Mundo, destacando que "...os professores têm que estar no centro deste esforço de transformação da educação e das salas de aulas do futuro".
