Before Rapier corporation international started in the home console market, they had this.<br />The Rapier R-cadia coin operated arcade system.<br />in 1985 when Rapier were founded, as a small business they had a completely inexperienced team of video game designers and engineers willing to try out new skills.<br />come 1987, this is what they came up with, an arcade system that stormed in the UK and EU, a coin operated system that cost 25p per game credit.<br />By 1990, the system had sold 10 million across Europe and the UK making £800million from system sales and a further £40million from people pumping their money into the systems to play the games they provided...in total, around 130 games were produced for the system over the years, officially listing Rapier into the video game console market.
