„Das Meer“ (The Ocean) is, after the both nationally and<br />internationally lasting response to „Songs für einen Nachmittag“<br />(Songs for an Afternoon), the second Pop-Chanson<br />studio album of the songstress. Also the follow-up album<br />„Das Meer“ proves that German-language Pop-Chanson can<br />be effective without unsophisticated copied musical horizons<br />and thematic banality. Musically more open it is nevertheless<br />a smooth transition from the debut album. Driving drums<br />and demanding guitar riffs carry the tone and mood of the<br />album. Assertion, intimacy and melancholy flow into one another;<br />the album‘s 11 tracks authentically portraying the woman<br />of our times. Bittersweet lives on, thanks to the sensual<br />charm of Ewa Firsowicz.
