It's Sunday December 27, the second anniversary of the death of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.<br /><br />Bhutto was assassinated in a suicide attack shortly after addressing an election rally after returning to Pakistan from self-imposed exile.<br /><br />Thousands of supporters from across Pakistan flocked to Bhutto’s mausoleum to pay their respects.<br /><br />Twice-elected as the country's Prime Minister, Bhutto was the first woman premier in the Muslim world.<br /><br />Bhutto's widower, President Asif Ali Zardari, says Bhutto was assassinated by the enemies of Pakistan who were afraid she would turn the country into a strong nuclear power.<br /><br />[President Asif Ali Zardari, Benazir Bhutto’s Widower]: (Male Urdu)<br />"She not only talked about making Pakistan a nuclear power, she also gave new technology to Pakistan, which today we call missile technology." <br /><br />Arriving with his cabinet ministers Pakistan's Prime Minister offered prayers and showered Bhutto’s grave with rose petals.<br /><br />Violence in Pakistan has intensified since July 2007.
