Abheena and the Dancing Queens<br />Abheena Aher from transgender dance troupe Abheena and the Dancing Queens, gives a performance of Piya Tu. The group is bringing drag to the mainstream and also spreads awareness about HIV/AIDS through musical plays. Abheena is a trained Kathak dancer and comm. specialist at Johns Hopkins University. In the past, she also ran lavani group Natale Mee Tumchya Saathi<br /><br />Aleesha Khan from transgender dance troupe Abheena and the Dancing Queens, gives a performance of Ring Ring Ringa from Slumdog Millionaire. The queer group is bringing drag to the mainstream and also spreads awareness about HIV/AIDS through musical plays. By day, Aleesha is a self-help group co-ordinator with the Humsafar Trust<br /><br />Urmi Jadhav from transgender dance troupe Abheena and the Dancing Queens, gives a performance of Aaja Nachle from Aaja Nachle. The queer group is bringing drag to the mainstream and also spreads awareness about HIV/AIDS through musical plays. Urmi is a counselor with the Humsafar Trust.
