PMC is charging octroi illegally for films which is being sent to Pune for preservation and conservation at the National Film Archives.Every time the National Film Archives of India (NFAI) receives reels of old films to be preserved and restored; they are faced with a problem from the PMC. Incidentally, the PMC charges octroi for every film that is being sent to NFAI. And this is âœillegalâ. Speaking to Mid DAY, NFAI Director Vijay Jadhav said, âœWe have recently received the reels for Assamese film Runimi which came to us from Guwahati.
