'Focus Females' could decide election

<p><br /> The General Election could be swung by a new type of floating voter - the "Focus Female", according to an AA/Populus poll.<br /> </p><p><br /> As many as 61 per cent of women, many of them Ford Focus drivers, have yet to decide which political party is the most motorist-friendly, the poll of nearly 15,000 AA members found.<br /> </p><p><br /> In contrast, only 36 per cent of males polled have not yet made their minds up about who to vote for.<br /> </p><p><br /> The poll found that 74 per cent of women reckoned motoring issues were quite or very important in determining who they voted for.<br /> </p><p><br /> Women were found to be more concerned than men about the cost of motoring, drink-driving and drug-driving, and road safety.<br /> </p>
