<p><br /> Gordon Brown insisted he was still fighting for a Labour majority as he urged voters not to risk putting the Tories in charge.<br /> </p><p><br /> With his party lagging in the polls, the Prime Minister warned that one of David Cameron's first acts would be to axe thousands of jobs.<br /> </p><p><br /> He also announced that he was appointing Dragons' Den star Duncan Bannatyne as a seaside "tsar". Mr Brown joked that he had brought along Mr Bannatyne, a well-known Labour backer, so he had access to the "best financial advice".<br /> </p><p><br /> The entrepreneur and star of the BBC show is to lead a review to identify what seaside towns can do to attract more holidaymakers and visitors.<br /> </p><p><br /> "This is a fight for the future," Mr Brown told activists in Ipswich. "This is not an ordinary election, these are not ordinary times. I'm fighting for my life because I'm fighting for the future of our country.<br /> </p><p><br /> "I know that if a Conservative government was elected, in the next few weeks the first casualties would be large numbers of jobs taken out in a budget they plan as an emergency budget in June."<br /> </p>
