A toddler has escaped unhurt after he clung to the outside rail of an escalator as it went up a floor at an Istanbul shopping centre. <br />Shopkeeper Ali Apari noticed the four-year-old dangling about 8ft off the ground and rushed to catch him before he fell.<br /><br />The dramatic rescue was caught on a security camera in the mall.<br /><br />"I noticed the child playing near the escalators, there was nothing dangerous at that time," Mr Apari said.<br /><br />"I turned back to the store and I was told that he was climbing onto the outside of the escalator rail.
