<p><br /> Thousands of people turned out to see a skater dive from the first floor of the Eiffel tower into a huge quarter pipe.<br /> </p><p><br /> Taig Khris, an X-Games champion, launched himself into a 12-metre drop and landed on a 30-metre high ramp.<br /> </p><p><br /> At the bottom, a giant airbag was there to stop him. On the first attempt, Khris fell on a failed landing, but he chose to try his luck again.<br /> </p><p><br /> On his second attempt, Khris jumped flawlessly and crowds were cheering as he set a new world record for the highest jump on roller skates ever to take place.<br /> </p>
