Potters Bar inquest hears of passenger terror

<p><br /> The inquest into the 2002 Potters Bar rail crash has been hearing about the moment an express train smashed into the platform.<br /> </p><p><br /> A driver said: "I have lost everything... we are off the rails" moments after the train from King's Cross to King's Lynn ran over faulty points as it approached the station in Hertfordshire.<br /> </p><p><br /> Signal inspector Roger Badger, who was travelling in the driver's cab, told the inquest everything had appeared normal until there was a "violent jolt"<br /> </p><p><br /> Six passengers - Austen Kark, Emma Knights, Jonael Schickler, Alexander Ogunwusi, Chia Hsin Lin and Chia Chin Wu - and pedestrian Agnes Quinlivan died and more than 70 people were hurt as a result of the crash.<br /> </p><p><br /> The inquest is expected to last for more than two months.<br /> </p>
