<p><br /> US Actor Charlie Sheen is facing a 30 day jail sentence for assaulting his wife in Aspen, Colorado last year.<br /> </p><p><br /> Following an argument on Christmas Day, Brooke Mueller Sheen alleged her husband had held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.<br /> </p><p><br /> Sheen pleaded not guilty to menacing, misdemeanour assault and criminal mischief earlier this year, but will reportedly now enter a plea of no contest.<br /> </p><p><br /> Having reached a deal with Colorado authorities Sheen will seek a 30 day sentence.<br /> </p><p><br /> Brooke is Sheen's third wife, having divorced actress Denise Richards acrimoniously in 2006.<br /> </p><p><br /> After taking a hiatus from hit sitcom Two and a Half Men in order to enter rehab, Sheen is now due to return to the show, for which he was named US TV's highest paid star in 2008.<br /> </p>
