<p><br /> Eight people were taken to hospital after a passenger train derailed and caught fire in a remote part of Scotland on Sunday evening.<br /> </p><p><br /> The train derailed shortly before 9pm near the Falls of Cruachan power station, by Loch Awe in Argyll.<br /> </p><p><br /> A passenger car was left "precariously balanced" over a 50 foot embankment.<br /> </p><p><br /> Emergency services said all 60 passengers on the 6.20pm service from Glasgow to Oban were rescued from the train and there were no reports of serious injuries.<br /> </p><p><br /> The ambulance service later confirmed eight people were taken to three different hospitals. None of their injuries were thought to be life-threatening.<br /> </p><p><br /> An investigation into the cause of the accident has already been launched. It is not yet clear what caused the train to derail.<br /> </p>
