<p><br /> Russell Brand has hit out at the response to the Sachsgate scandal and believes it was blown out of proportion.<br /> </p><p><br /> In an interview, the comic actor was asked if he felt any differently, looking back on his phone prank.<br /> </p><p><br /> He said: "As for all the subsequent reaction - it's like you knock over a glass of water at your neighbour's house and the wife comes down and shoots the dog."<br /> </p><p><br /> The stunt in October 2008 saw Brand and Jonathan Ross making a series of lewd calls to Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs for Brand's BBC Radio 2 show.<br /> </p><p><br /> While Brand resigned from his job, Ross was suspended over the scandal for three months and is quitting the corporation when his contract ends.<br /> </p><p><br /> There has also been speculation that Brand could appear on Ross's Friday night show before Ross's departure. He said: "Obviously, I'd love to do something with Jonathan before his show ends."<br /> </p>
