Surfer Michael Bedford was treated for deep wounds to his right knee on Monday after being knocked off his surfboard and bitten by a white pointer shark in Western Australia.<br /><br />The attack happened on Sunday off of Western Australia's south coast.<br /><br />Recovering in a hospital bed, Bedford said he was grateful fellow surfers and local fishermen came to his aid and helped him get to a hospital.<br /><br />While lucky to be alive, Bedford was still shaken one day after the attack.<br /><br />[Michael Bedford, Shark Attack Survivor]: (English)<br />"It's surreal. It was just surreal! It just wasn't… I was seeing it. I found it, but I didn't believe it would happen that quickly."<br /><br />Bedford says he won’t be going back in the water anytime soon.
