<p><br /> The Queen will celebrate the centenary of the Canadian Navy as dozens of foreign ships gather to mark the milestone.<br /> </p><p><br /> The monarch and the Duke of Edinburgh begin the first full day of their tour of Canada by honouring the maritime achievements of the Commonwealth country.<br /> </p><p><br /> She has visited Canada 22 times on official duties. Her last visit was in 2005.<br /> </p><p><br /> The appearance marks the start of the Queen and Prince Philip's nine-day tour.<br /> </p><p><br /> On Canada Day, she will be on Parliament Hill in Ottawa for celebrations of the country's 143rd birthday.<br /> </p><p><br /> The couple also plan to go to Winnipeg and Waterloo and Ontario.<br /> </p>
