<p><br /> The boss of budget airline Ryanair has announced plans to introduce a new standing area which will cost passengers only £5.<br /> </p><p><br /> Michael O'Leary has said he will fund the new "vertical seats" at the back of planes using a "toilet tax" which will see passengers charged £1 to use the onboard bathroom.<br /> </p><p><br /> The airline is looking at taking out the last ten rows of seats and replacing them with the new standing area.<br /> </p><p><br /> Proposals have been discussed with Boeing and there are plans for tests to get under way in around 12 months.<br /> </p><p><br /> According to a spokesman from the airline, the new seats could be in place in only 18 months time.<br /> </p>
