<p><br /> Mayor of London Boris Johnson showed off some Bollywood dance moves as he launched the Big Dance event in the capital.<br /> </p><p><br /> Mr Johnson appeared onstage at the London Palladium to kick off the festival, which will see 850 dance events take place across London from July 3-10.<br /> </p><p><br /> The Mayor revealed he had picked up some Indian-style moves while attending weddings in Mumbai and Delhi, and gave the audience of dance students from London schools a brief lesson in Bollywood hand movements.<br /> </p><p><br /> Mr Johnson also joked that the Conservtive-Liberal Democrat coalition was "a wonderful, magnificent example of a waltz - a great coalition waltz between Nick Clegg and David Cameron, followed by William Hague breakdancing down Whitehall".<br /> </p><p><br /> He added: "The Big Dance has created the big society".<br /> </p><p><br /> The Mayor was joined by Sheridan Smith, the star of West End musical Legally Blonde, as well as Strictly Come Dancing champion Camilla Dallerup and Hairspray choreographer Jerry Mitchell for the launch event.<br /> </p>
