<p><br /> Glee creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that plans for a Britney Spears-themed episode will go ahead.<br /> </p><p><br /> Murphy told TVGuide.com that, rather fittingly, McKinley High's Brittany has been selected to play the popstar and is expected to sing two of her hits.<br /> </p><p><br /> In a previous interview with E! Online, Heather Morris said: "I heard there's a Britney Spears episode coming up and fingers crossed that I get to sing, because I play Brittany and I'm like, 'Oh my god, it's insane".<br /> </p><p><br /> Madonna and Lady Gaga have already had the Glee effect and Ryan Murphy is also reportedly working on episodes featuring the music of Coldplay and Janet Jackson.<br /> </p><p><br /> The Britney Spears special is expected to be the second episode to air next season.<br /> </p>
