<p><br /> A mobile phone store manager in South Florida dissuaded an armed man from robbing the store by telling him Jesus wouldn't approve.<br /> </p><p><br /> Instead of panicking when the suspect pulled a weapon, Nayara Goncalves started talking to him.<br /> </p><p><br /> The 20-year-old offered to connect him with friends who could help him find work.<br /> </p><p><br /> "I have a job," replied the robber. When Goncalves asked him why he was then robbing the store he said, "because I'm going to be evicted if I don't come up with $300."<br /> </p><p><br /> Goncalves said she believed the man when he said he attended church and wasn't a bad person. She told him the answer to his financial problems wasn't in the cash register in the Pompano Beach store.<br /> </p><p><br /> "I don't want to do that to you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I understand if you still have to call the police," the robber said as he walked out of the store empty-handed.<br /> </p><p><br /> "Jesus helps you. He can change your life," Goncalves responded.<br /> </p>
