<p><br /> The son of Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari has angrily denied using the country's devastating floods for his own political gain.<br /> </p><p><br /> Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also defended his father's visit to the UK as he launched a formal appeal for aid at the Pakistan High Commission in London.<br /> </p><p><br /> Calling on the public to donate to the cause, he said: "This is not the time to play politics."<br /> </p><p><br /> When asked whether he was using his father's trip to launch his political career, the Oxford graduate shouted: "No, no. That is all lies."<br /> </p><p><br /> Meanwhile, the floods in Pakistan are expected to worsen over the coming days as more heavy rains are forecast.<br /> </p><p><br /> UN officials said more than half a million people had been evacuated in the southern Sindh province, where rural villages along the Indus river are under threat.<br /> </p>
