Stomping at the Savoy - Buck Clayton 1961<br />Recorded in Belgium in a relaxed studio setting we see American trumpeter Buck Clayton ( 1911- 1991) playing Stomping at the Savoy.<br />His principle influence was Louis Armstrong. Buck had alimitless facility for melodic improvisation.<br />He is backed up by Sir Charles Thompson piano, Gene Ramey bass and Oliver Jackson drums
