<p><br /> Sylvester Stallone has spoken about the wider appeal of his new action blockbuster The Expendables.<br /> </p><p><br /> Stallone said although the film is an action adventure, it should appeal to women too. Speaking about the main female character he said: "It's a woman that gets the ball rolling. It's a woman that gives us back our dignity and heart."<br /> </p><p><br /> The film's cast features a host of action stars including Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Steve Austin, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren.<br /> </p><p><br /> Lundgren said there was some good-natured rivalry between the actors: "You know one guy's got bigger arms, one guy's a better actor, one guy's richer... But at the same time we're all in the same team trying to make a great movie."<br /> </p><p><br /> The Expendables hits UK cinemas on 19 August.<br /> </p>
