Unseen Beatles pictures go on show

<p><br /> Recently discovered photographs of The Beatles before Beatlemania took over have gone on display at Liverpool's Beatle Story.<br /> </p><p><br /> The black and white pictures were taken by photographer Paul Berriff during a tour in 1963 and 1964.<br /> </p><p><br /> They lay untouched for almost 50 years before he found them in his attic.<br /> </p><p><br /> Berriff was 16 years old at the time and working as an editorial assistant on the Yorkshire Evening Post.<br /> </p><p><br /> "I started to root round in my attic and I found this box of about 800 negs," Paul Berriff said.<br /> </p><p><br /> "I was absolutely knocked out when I saw the quality and realised I should do something with them."<br /> </p><p><br /> The 38 pictures show The Beatles both on and off stage including relaxing in their dressing room.<br /> </p><p><br /> The photographs will go on permanent display at The Beatles Story at Liverpool's Albert Dock from 24 August, 2010, entry to the gallery will be free.<br /> </p>
