<p><br /> World 800 metres champion Caster Semenya has been named in the South Africa team for October's Commonwealth Games in Delhi.<br /> </p><p><br /> The competition is set to be her first major international test after almost a year out while gender tests were conducted.<br /> </p><p><br /> The 19-year-old, who has won all three of her comeback races at fairly low-key meetings, claimed the 800m title at last year's World Championships in Berlin before she was subsequently banned.<br /> </p><p><br /> South African Olympic Committee president Gideon Sam said: "I'm very happy to see the return of Caster Semenya to duty for South Africa.<br /> </p><p><br /> "We have observed her progress closely since the IAAF cleared her to run and it's good to hear her say that she's focusing all her efforts on the Commonwealth.<br /> </p><p><br /> "The fact that she's unbeaten in her three races thus far and has improved her time on each occasion is good news for our medal effort in New Delhi."<br /> </p>
