Woods speaks of 'sadness' after divorce

<p><br /> Three days after his divorce, champion golfer Tiger Woods has said he feels more sadness than relief.<br /> </p><p><br /> Woods and his wife officially divorced on Monday, nine months after he was exposed for having numerous extramarital affairs.<br /> </p><p><br /> Woods returned to golf on Wednesday at The Barclays tournament in New Jersey, the same day People magazine released an interview with his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren.<br /> </p><p><br /> Woods said it is a sad time in his life because "you never go into a marriage looking to get divorced."<br /> </p><p><br /> Meanwhile, speaking in New York on Wednesday, Betsy Glick, the editor of People magazine, which interviewed Nordegren, said Woods' former wife had a "few things that she really wants the world to know".<br /> </p><p><br /> "She wants to set the record straight that she had no idea what was going on with Tiger, that she feels completely betrayed," Glick said.<br /> </p><p><br /> "She also wants everybody to know that there was no violence inside or outside the home. This notion that she, you know, took a golf club to her husband is false," she added.<br /> </p>
