Hurricane Igor is continuing to strengthen in the Atlantic Ocean, and may become a Category 5 storm within the next 48 hours. Forecasters say wind speeds have already reached 150 miles per hour.<br /><br />The ninth named storm of the Atlantic Hurricane season is getting stronger. <br /><br />These shots of Hurricane Igor - taken from the International Space Station - show the massive storm churning in the Atlantic Ocean. <br /><br />Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center say Igor has strengthened to a Category 4 storm - with maximum sustained winds of 150 miles per hour. <br /><br />Based on a five-day forecast track, by Friday, Igor is expected to be north of Puerto Rico and well to the east of the Bahamas. It could also pose problems for Bermuda. <br /><br />Most computer models forecast Igor -which may become a Category 5 storm- is unlikely to threaten the U.S. east coast.
