<p><br /> The England and Wales Cricket Board have called a meeting to discuss their response to spot-fixing allegations in the NatWest Series.<br /> </p><p><br /> The International Cricket Council announced on Saturday morning that they are launching an investigation over "a certain scoring pattern" during Friday's one-day international between England and Pakistan at the Oval.<br /> </p><p><br /> The limited-overs leg of Pakistan's tour has already been beset by an ongoing spot-fixing crisis, which placed the five-match ODI series - and two preceding Twenty20s - in doubt before they had begun.<br /> </p><p><br /> Following the latest fresh allegations, the ECB confirmed in a statement they are to discuss the issue as a matter of urgency.<br /> </p><p><br /> In a seperate statement the ECB confirmed that the final two games of the five match one-day series would go ahead.<br /> </p><p><br /> England lead the series 2-1 with further games to follow this week at Lord's on Monday and the Rose Bowl in Hampshire on Wednesday.<br /> </p><p><br /> An ECB spokesman said: "[The matter] is in the hands of the ICC as it stands.<br /> </p><p><br /> "We see the final two matches going ahead at this stage."<br /> </p><p><br /> The ICC were responding to a report by the Sun newspaper, which claimed it has evidence that shows bookmakers knew details of the Pakistan innings before the match had begun.<br /> </p>
