<p><br /> Ben Affleck has ruled out starring alongside his wife Jennifer Garner onscreen as he does not think audiences would believe he was anything other than her husband.<br /> </p><p><br /> The actor, who is in the UK to promote his new film The Town, said he would be "very reluctant" to appear opposite Jennifer.<br /> </p><p><br /> "Audiences have these pretty cemented ideas about who people are outside of movies and it's hard to get them to forget about that and suspend belief and imagine that, say she and I were brother and sister," the 38-year-old said.<br /> </p><p><br /> He added: "I think the fact that there's a lot of attention around actors has made it harder to convincingly play certain kinds of roles."<br /> </p><p><br /> Affleck directed and stars in The Town which is released on Friday 24 September.<br /> </p>
