<p><br /> Madonna and her daughter Lourdes walked the pink carpet at Macy's in Manhattan at the launch of their new fashion range.<br /> </p><p><br /> The Material Girl collection is the pair's latest business venture, with the fashion aimed at teenage girls.<br /> </p><p><br /> Speaking at the launch, the pop icon talked about the experience of working with her daughter: "It's nice to work with Lola, I saw a different side of her.<br /> </p><p><br /> "It's nice to see her take charge, be responsible, have her own work that she has to do.<br /> </p><p><br /> "She has to report to work. It's nice. When we're outside of school and all the things I force her to do, yeah."<br /> </p><p><br /> The pop singer also had to face some criticism, as some have argued the fashion was inappropriate for young girls.<br /> </p><p><br /> Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen, who is the face of the campaign, disagreed. She said: "I think that girls should dress for themselves and I think that girls should dress how they want to dress.<br /> </p><p><br /> "There's something for everyone no matter what style or age you are and that's why it's so amazing.<br /> </p><p><br /> "That's what a Material Girl is, it's someone who can be themselves and dress for themselves."<br /> </p><p><br /> The Material Girl collection is available exclusively at Macy's.<br /> </p>
