Glastonbury 2011 tickets sell out in four hours

<p><br /> Tickets for Glastonbury 2011 have sold out in just over four hours.<br /> </p><p><br /> Passes for Britain's biggest music festival went on sale at 9am on Sunday 3 October and by 1.15pm they had all been snapped up.<br /> </p><p><br /> Fans flooded the website and phone lines with tickets selling out eight hours faster than last year.<br /> </p><p><br /> Organiser Emily Eavis wrote on the festival's Twitter page:<br /> </p><p><br /> "Sorry those of you who waited on the lines but couldn't get tickets. Wish there was a way to fit everyone in."<br /> </p><p><br /> Then, giving a glimmer of hope to dissapointed fans, added:<br /> </p><p><br /> "As in previous years, there is likely to be a re-sale of cancelled tickets at some point - probably spring 2011."<br /> </p><p><br /> Tickets for Glastonbury 2011, cost £195, £10 more than last year.<br /> </p><p><br /> The line-up of performers is yet to be announced.<br /> </p>
