Prince Charles dances with locals in India

<p><br /> Prince Charles enjoyed a quick dance with the locals when he visited Jodhpur in the Western Indian state of Rajasthan.<br /> </p><p><br /> Accompanied by the former ruler of Jodhpur, Gaj Singh, The Prince of Wales toured villages on the outskirts of the city to observe water conservation efforts in the area.<br /> </p><p><br /> He was briefed about the initiatives undertaken by a local voluntary group, the Jal Bhagirathi Foundation, for water harvesting and conservation.<br /> </p><p><br /> The Water Resource Centre is used by the Jal Bhagirathi Foundation to train local people how to manage their water resources.<br /> </p><p><br /> The foundation has helped give 300-thousand people in 220 villages access to drinking water.<br /> </p><p><br /> One of the Prince's charities, the British Asian Trust, supports joint projects with the British NGO (non-governmental organisation), Wells for India, and the Jal Bhagirathi Foundation.<br /> </p><p><br /> Then villagers showcased rural culture for the visiting prince, who was not shy in joining them as they danced to the rhythm of local folk music.<br /> </p><p><br /> The Prince of Wales was in India to inaugurate the Commonwealth Games that opened in New Delhi on Sunday.<br /> </p>
