Thousands homeless and dozens dead in China floods

<p><br /> The worst rainstorms in nearly 50 years have killed more than 150 people in southern China.<br /> </p><p><br /> Torrential rains lasting a week have also left more than 200,000 people homeless on the island of Hainan, according to reports.<br /> </p><p><br /> The area's provincial government website warns that more rains and strong winds are expected.<br /> </p><p><br /> Heavy rains and flooding has also hit other areas of south-east Asia, including Indonesia and Vietnam.<br /> </p><p><br /> The airport in a flooded Indonesian region has been reopened and debris cleared from roads to deliver aid to an area where more than 100 villagers have died and dozens are missing.<br /> </p><p><br /> Meanwhile, severe flooding in central Vietnam has left at least 52 people dead with a further 21 still missing.<br /> </p>
