Michael Parkinson thinks Russell Brand's pointless

<p><br /> Michael Parkinson has said he cannot see the point in Russell Brand.<br /> </p><p><br /> Speaking to Richard Bacon on Radio 5 Live, the 75-year-old presenter said of Katy Perry's fiance:<br /> </p><p><br /> "He doesn't make me laugh, I don't think his style of talking is particularly beautiful, funny or creative. Not at all. I don't see the point of him, frankly."<br /> </p><p><br /> Parky went on to compare 35-year-old Russell to the Hollywood dog Rin Tin Tin who starred in movies during the twenties and thirties.<br /> </p><p><br /> Michael said: "I would say he has been a very lucky man. I mean Rin Tin Tin had a very big career in Hollywood and he was a dog. You don't have to be particularly talented to have a career in Hollywood."<br /> </p><p><br /> The former chat-show host also commented on Russell's Dickensian style of speaking saying: "Dickens would be spinning in his grave now if you actually compared them."<br /> </p><p><br /> Talk then turned to Sachsgate which Michael called "undeniably wrong" and added: "What he did defines him as being somebody who actually is unthinking and uncaring about people's feelings."<br /> </p>
