<p><br /> Less than 24 hours after news broke that David Arquette and Courtney Cox had split up, David phoned a radio station to discuss their separation.<br /> </p><p><br /> Speaking to Howard Stern, the actor told the host that he had been intimate with a waitress and that his "sexual encounter made him feel pretty manly."<br /> </p><p><br /> However despite his confession, the Scream star told the US DJ that he was not unfaithful to Courtney:<br /> </p><p><br /> "Part of the terms of our separation was that I was allowed to see other people and so was she."<br /> </p><p><br /> David also spoke about claims that Friends star Courtney has already moved on with her Cougar Town co-star Brian Van Holt.<br /> </p><p><br /> He said that his wife and Van Holt were involved in an "emotional affair" but was not aware if it had yet become physical.<br /> </p><p><br /> Courtney and David met on the set of Scream in 1996 and married three years later. They have a six-year-old daughter together called Coco.<br /> </p><p><br /> After US magazine In Touch Weekly reported that the couple had split, David and Courtney issued a joint statement announcing their trial separation.<br /> </p><p><br /> They said: "We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter, and we still love each other deeply.<br /> </p><p><br /> "As we go though this process we are determined to use kindness and understanding to get through this together."<br /> </p>
