<p><br /> Players from Russian second division teams Fakel Voronezh and Metallurg Lipetsk clashed at the end of match after fans had fought in the street.<br /> </p><p><br /> The violence happened on the same day that the city of Voronezh was named the site of a friendly international match in November between Russia and Belgium.<br /> </p><p><br /> The brawl on the pitch started after Metallurg footballer Michael Yudin stepped on Fakel Voronezh's Vladimir Eremeev during the second half.<br /> </p><p><br /> Players streamed onto the field, as officials tried to pacify opponents, before the referee sent Yudin and Fakel Voronezh Captain Alexei Zhuravlev off and the game resumed. The scuffle produced a total of nine yellow and three red cards.<br /> </p><p><br /> Before the match, supporters of both teams had fought in the street and in a public square near the stadium. The scuffle was the second between the two teams in the past seven years.<br /> </p><p><br /> Both team managers said they would study video footage of the match and punish guilty players. The Russian Football Federation said it would review the fight and consider penalties.<br /> </p>
