And storms trigger mudslides in Italy...three people have died after heavy rain set off landslides across northern and central Italy.<br /><br />These are the remnants of three houses after torrents of mud and trees swept through a small town in Tuscany.<br /><br />A woman and her two year old son were killed on Sunday. The woman's husband was outside at the time and escaped with minor injuries.<br /><br />Rescuers worked through the night to recover the bodies. <br /><br />And in a neighboring village, rescue workers are still searching for a third victim from another mudslide.<br /><br />The landslides were triggered by torrential rains over the weekend, causing flooding across large swathes of northern and central Italy.<br /><br />Roads have turned into rivers and cars have been submerged.<br /><br />In Venice, a severe weather alert was issued after the water levels of the canals began to rise.<br /><br />And Italians could face more hardship as the storms move south.
