<p><br /> Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle was allegedly reduced to tears when rocker Lou Reed refused to let her sing a version of his Perfect Day on an American TV show.<br /> </p><p><br /> But in a bizarre twist, Reed later said he regretted his decision and asked if he could put things right by directing the video to her version of the song.<br /> </p><p><br /> The Velvet Underground singer reportedly said: "I wanted to create a beautiful and intimate piece shot in Susan's native Scotland, and she quickly agreed".<br /> </p><p><br /> Susan said: "I loved that Lou understood how much it meant to me to film in Scotland. I didn't mind how much it rained or blew a gale, I enjoyed every minute".<br /> </p><p><br /> Susan Boyle's new track, Perfect Day, taken from her album The Gift, is out now.<br /> </p>
