<p><br /> Tom Hanks showed his support for the returning chat show host Conan O'Brien by appearing on the star's second show on new channel, TBS.<br /> </p><p><br /> Talking about his close relationship with Conan, Hanks stoked the crowd in chanting his nickname for the famous TV face as in unison the audience chanted Coco.<br /> </p><p><br /> Always game for some slapstick comedy, Hanks finished the interview with a set-piece about cartoon whales swimming in the backdrop of the stage that eventually saw the Academy Award winner covered in water.<br /> </p><p><br /> Despite the famous face on the sofa, the new incarnation of the show lost a third of it's audience for the second show.<br /> </p><p><br /> Critics have put this down to O'Brien's constant jokes and bitterness over being dropped by NBC before his move to TBS.<br /> </p>
