<p><br /> A Shanghai skyscraper has caught fire killing at least five people and injuring dozens more, according to China's state media.<br /> </p><p><br /> Amateur video broadcast on CCTV showed the blaze engulfing the 30-storey building.<br /> </p><p><br /> Xinhau reports witnesses saying scaffolding caught fire, before spreading throughout the building, which was being renovated.<br /> </p><p><br /> Thick smoke pouring from the building could be seen across the Shanghai skyline.<br /> </p><p><br /> One report said some people were seen jumping from the windows of the high-rise apartment complex to escape.<br /> </p>
