<p><br /> Controversial X Factor contestant Wagner Carrilho will discover tonight if has made through to the next stage of the competition following an on-screen row with Cheryl Cole.<br /> </p><p><br /> The Geordie judge hit back at the Brazilian performer on last night's live show after he made unfavourable comments about her council estate roots.<br /> </p><p><br /> During an interview, Wagner said Cole was "just a girl from a council estate who got lucky".<br /> </p><p><br /> Last night, the X Factor judge did not remark on Wagner's medley of Beatles hits Get Back, Hippy Hippy Shake and Hey Jude, but instead took the opportunity to hit back.<br /> </p><p><br /> She told him: "I think you made some comments this week about me being from a council estate.<br /> </p><p><br /> "I am very proud of my roots and I am very lucky."<br /> </p><p><br /> Wagner, who was wearing a jacket similar to Sir Paul McCartney's on the sleeve of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, tried to defend himself and said: "I didn't know the guy was a journalist.<br /> </p><p><br /> "He asked me what I think of Cheryl and I said Cheryl is a role model for the young people of this nation because I believe she has lived on a council estate and so many people who live in a council estate don't believe they can achieve a better standard of living.<br /> </p><p><br /> "You are incredibly talented and beautiful and you have the manners of a princess.<br /> </p><p><br /> "You are now the most favoured woman in the whole country."<br /> </p><p><br /> Later tonight Wagner will discover if he has made it through to the final seven acts of the show.<br /> </p>
