<p><br /> Model and Capital Radio host Lisa Snowdon is recovering in hospital after contracting viral meningitis.<br /> </p><p><br /> After switching on the Bond Street Christmas lights in London, the 38 year old complained of feeling unwell and was rushed to hospital .<br /> </p><p><br /> As well as exhibiting flu like symptoms, the star is also reported to have suffered from 'major aches and pains' and a migraine.<br /> </p><p><br /> Meanwhile the Capital Radio Breakfast Show, which Snowdon presents alongside Jonny Vaughan, has been taken over by The Satuday's singer Frankie Sandford.<br /> </p><p><br /> Snowdon has reportedly been warned that recovery from meningitis is a long term process and that it is unlikely that she will be able to return to work for up to a month.<br /> </p><p><br /> Viral meningitis is not as serious as bacterial meningitis, which effects the fluids surrounding the brain and can be deadly.<br /> </p><p><br /> Lisa is one of the stars of the current Marks and Spencer's Christmas advert in which she recreates festive scenes alongside Dannii Minogue, Twiggy and Peter Kay.<br /> </p>
