<p><br /> A bus has overturned near Norwich Airport, trapping some of its passengers, the fire service has said.<br /> </p><p><br /> The accident happened on the A140 near Horsford at about 3.40pm on Friday, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said.<br /> </p><p><br /> A member of the service's control room staff said: "A bus has overturned, with persons trapped, and efforts are being made to extricate them."<br /> </p><p><br /> Media reports say there were 48 passengers on board, plus the driver, and that five people were seriously injured. The rest only suffered minor injuries.<br /> </p><p><br /> A Norfolk County Council spokesman, who is at the scene, said the vehicle was on its side.<br /> </p><p><br /> "A major incident has been declared. At this stage there is nobody left at the scene.<br /> </p><p><br /> "Those injured have been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.<br /> </p><p><br /> "Those who appeared uninjured were taken to the local village hall to be checked over there."<br /> </p>
