The Numeral "1" that makes up 2-0-1-1 atop One Times Square received the red carpet treatment after arriving in a stretch limousine at the Times Square Visitors' Center. Having been on display to the public for several days at ground level it has now been hoisted hundreds of feet into the air and has replaced the "0" atop One Times Square. Each giant New Year’s Numeral “2-0-1-1” will stand 7 feet high. The four numerals use a total of 453 9-watt energy efficient Philips LED bulbs. The numeral “2” contains 145 bulbs, the "0" contains 164 bulbs, and each numeral “1" contains 72 bulbs. Visitors also had the opportunity to donate their own energy by hopping aboard one of four Duracell Power Rovers and pedaling to power batteries that will light the numerals 2-0-1-1 as the New Year’s Eve Ball completes its descent down the flagpole and the clock strikes midnight on December 31st.
