After the No To Mob (http://www.notomob.co.uk ) learnt just how many motorists were driving through the contravention at the junction of Lower James Street and Brewer Street (near Golden Sq) I thought I would spend an hour or so watching what happened. Because Westminster will argue black is white and try to defend this honey pot by saying the signs are perfectly legal and not at all misleading the plan was to set up a fixed video camera and total up the number of vehicles breaking the contravention compared to those that don’t.<br />So I set up a small tripod and camera pointing at the junction and settle down with me frothy coffee playing on the Internet and phoning mates up. I am careful not to cause any obstruction of the pavement and I’m wearing normal clothes, so nothing eye catching to stand out. Several parking wardens and real Police pass me by and say nothing, as I’m talking on the phone and drinking a coffee whilst I video the junction.
