<p><br /> Members of Michael Jackson's family have attended the first day of hearings to determine whether the singer's doctor, Conrad Murray, should stand trial.<br /> </p><p><br /> The physician is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of the popstar, something he denies.<br /> </p><p><br /> On day one, the court heard that Dr Murray waited up to 20 minutes before calling for help and tried to revive Michael in front of his children.<br /> </p><p><br /> It was also claimed he removed medical evidence before calling the ambulance.<br /> </p><p><br /> Doctor Murray has admitted giving Michael Jackson the powerful sedative Propofol in the hours before he stopped breathing, but has pleaded not guilty to the charge of involuntary manslaughter.<br /> </p><p><br /> If convicted he could face up to four years in prison. The hearing is expected to last two weeks and will determine if there is enough evidence against Dr Murray for a full trial.<br /> </p><p><br /> Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest on 25 June 2009, just weeks before he was due to start his This Is It 50 date residency at London's O2 Arena.<br /> </p>
