<p><br /> Children orphaned by the Haiti earthquake now live in orphanages after losing parents in the disaster. Some are abandoned there by parents who cannot cope with caring for them.<br /> </p><p><br /> Often, those who suffered terrible losses also suffered terrible injuries, many in the orphanage have lost limbs.<br /> </p><p><br /> Many other children are left in the camps of Haiti. Places that were initially set up as temporary emergency shelter but which are becoming permanent homes for families.<br /> </p><p><br /> Those that do live with parents in the camps live with parents who can barely cope with what life has become in the devastated country.<br /> </p><p><br /> Orphanage director Gena Herarty said that the earthquake lives on in Haitian children's minds to this day.<br /> </p>
