We had a chance to interview Joelle Carter, who plays Ava Crowder on FX's "Justified," to find out what drew her to the show and her character. She gave us plenty of backstory on the relationship between her character and Timothy Olyphant's Raylan Givens, the U.S. Marshall who comes home to clean it up but ends up stirring a hornet's nest. Carter told us about what makes the South different and why she was pleased to play a strong female character in such a setting.
