Garden City Ammonia Program has done much research on the affect of oil with ammonia within an ammonia refrigeration system. During this experiment the vessel was never brought down to a vacuum. We started around 70 PSIG and brought the vessel down to 0 PSIG. No moisture or water was involved with this particulare video. When water was thrown into the equation in other testing, this reaction happen much quicker. <br /><br />The oil used in this particular test is a sem-semthetic. "Camco 717-HT".
