Sixteen more were injured and rushed to the hospital.<br /><br />Foxconn is part of Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision Industries group and is the main manufacturing partner of Apple computers. It produces the popular iPad 2 tablet computer. The factory suspended production while Apple investigated the explosion.<br /><br />It is not the first time Foxconn has been in the headlines over safety. Last year reports emerged of poor working conditions at factories in southern China, which may have been a factor in the suicides of more than 13 workers.
